Will.i.am unveils i.am + Puls, a bracelet with Android

This was expected. Yes really. Will.i.am had already begun to unveil the project in April. The product is called i.am + Puls and the media already announced as a competitor to the Apple Watch and Android Wear watches. Think again, Puls is not wise.

Puls is the limit bracelet … connected or smart cuff. But it is not wise. This takes nothing away to the qualities of this product, it can – among other things – help to make calls without being tied to a smartphone. It is a device that incorporates a curved screen with its own SIM card, 16GB of internal memory and 1 GB of RAM, plus a voice recognition system named Aneeda (similar to Siri, Google Now, Cortana … as you want) developed with Nuance.

“Wish me to dream, dream together … whore” – Will.i.am.

As an object connected, Puls integrates a bunch of sensors. With its touch screen include an accelerometer and a GPS chip, to retrieve useful data for health and fitness. It also includes a sensor that mysterious emotion “can” detect the mood of the user. Puls is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 400, and it runs a modified version of Android can run applications. Among them, we will find customized versions of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Salesforce also partnered with News Corp. to provide editorial content.

Will.i.am has certainly not neglected the musical part, with a music application “directly integrated into the OS” and without “subscription to a streaming service.”

For now, Puls is expected in the United States and the United Kingdom. In the US, the bracelet will be sold exclusively by AT & T, while in the UK it will be worn by the operator O2. No price or launch date has yet been announced.
